The Ministry of Economy has announced that the government plenipotentiary for nuclear power - Hanna Trojanowska - resigned from the position.
 
From 19 May 2009 Hanna Trojanowska was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy. During the function under the guidance of Trojanowska, the office prepared Polish Nuclear Power Program (PPEJ) which has been adopted by the government in January 2014.
 
The program provides is designed to introduce nuclear energy in Poland in 5 steps :


Stage I - to 31.12.2013: the creation of institutional and programmatic basis for the development of nuclear energy; adoption and entry into force of legislation necessary for the development and operation of nuclear power.

Stage II - 01.01.2014 - 31.12.2016: to determine the location and the conclusion of a contract on the technology chosen first nuclear power plant

Stage III - 01.01.2017 - 31.12.2018: technical project and obtaining all required by law decisions and opinions

Stage IV - 01.01.2019 - 31.12.2024: building permits, construction and connection to the network of the first block of the first nuclear power plant, the start of construction consecutive blocks / nuclear power plants

Stage V - 01.01.2025 - 31.12.2030: continuation and start building the next blocks of nuclear power plants. Finalizing construction of the first nuclear power plant. Completion of the construction of a second nuclear power plant is scheduled for 2035 years




As the ministry informed, for the execution of tasks in the field of nuclear energy development until the next appropriate candidate will be chosen, the responsibility over the cell has the Minister of Economy. What is crucial at the moment is a plan for dealing with radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel and supporting Polish entrepreneurs and scientific sector for their commitment to the nuclear investments.
