Electricity infrastructure as most prominent to be secured to the hacker's attack

No comments :

Last week, Poland has been holding election to the local governments. Unfortunately, the IT system devoted to calculation of the votes and further transmission of the counted information has failed. Some of the observers (rather radical) are claiming that it was a trial of election’s manipulation – others comment the situation as the breakdown of electronic system.

It is impossible to avoid the situation in which the discussion regarding other IT system is raised. Reporters of one of the biggest Polish daily newspapers – “ Gazeta Wyborcza” – raised a question of the security of other IT systems and their resistance to failures. According to the authors of discussed article, in case of hackers’ attack, electricity infrastructure would be the one suffering the most.
