National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management encourages to invest in RES on small scale

4,2014 that the “Prosument Program” has been approved. More about the program

Wodnej (National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management) has
announced on March 4,2014 that the “Prosument Program” has been approved.
“Prosument Program” is a designed scheme that targets small producers
of electricity whose electricity is used internally (for their own consumption)
and comes from renewable sources. As stated on the website of the fund, the package
aims to promote renewable
energy technologies and financier
attitudes ( especially raising
awareness of sustainable way of investing, bearing in mind
environmental responsibility), as well as the development of the equipment suppliers and installers as well as increasing the
number of jobs in the RES sector. The
program offers credits on the favorable conditions that finance the investments
or 20-40 % dotation of the projects. The
budget amounts to 600 million zł (approx. 150 million euro) for 2014-2020
with the possibility of entering into
credit agreements until 2018.
Funding of projects will include the purchase and installation of new systems that
enable production of electricity or heat/electricity from renewable energy. The
program covers also additional costs, such as the replacement of existing, old-type installations
to more efficient and
environmentally friendly.
The subjects who can benefit from a program are residents
of households that are single-family or multi-family
(a few families living in the same building who are interested in
participating). including the replacement of existing
installations more efficient and environmentally friendly.
