Mecoms entering into Polish market
Innovative computer database MECOMS ™, designed to improve performance of energy and utility companies, is being introduced to the Polish companies. MECOMS ™ is built based on Microsoft technologies, in particular Microsoft Dynamics AX and SQL, and is fully integrated product with a modular structure, which is critical to business energy companies. On the Polish market, location of the system and adapting it to the current regulations is being responsibility of Sygnity, partner of Microsoft and Ferranti.
The producer describes the product as: “(...) a business support system for energy and utility companies, providing both Meter Data Management (MDM) and a Customer Information System (CIS). It combines flexibility, efficiency and smart insights to drastically cut cost-to-serve, even in a changing environment”.
In practice, it means that the program ( or more correctly said, “the solution”), based on Microsoft Dynamics AX ™ and efficient SQL database, stores all information about the measurements, customers and network infrastructure in the central database using a unified data model, for an energy company or for media providers. It supports three basic areas of business power: measurement, billing and wealth management and technical brigades. MECOMS ™ is a single, integrated and modular solution industry, which after adjustment for Polish regulations and requirements of the market by a local partner - Sygnity, will respond to the needs of both retailers and suppliers of media for B2B and B2C market: electricity, gas, water, heat and cooling, as well as scenarios Dual Fuel and Multi-Utility.
As a result of deregulation of the energy market also Polish energy companies are forced to modernize their operations and adapt it to new business realities. Adapted to Polish conditions and regulations MECOMS ™ system will provide them with a flexible and cost-attractive solution.
