new shape of gas invoices
From August
1,2014 the design of the gas bill is changing. Instead of paying for the volume
of used gas, the customer will be paying for the energy delivered.
In practice,
it is not going to change anything. The purpose of the new shape of gas bill
has been introduced to simplify the comparison between the price of electricity
and gas (both will be given in kWh). The prices will remain the same, so the only
different element will be the measurement unit.
From now on, gas customers will then receive an invoice with three values
listed:
- the amount of gas consumed in units of volume (m3)
- conversion factor by which the unit volume will be converted into units of energy (HHV or LHV)
- the amount of gas in energy units (kWh)
