Hitachi Power Europe won tender for construction of the power plant in Turow
The tender
for the construction of the power-plant in Turow has been won by the consortium
led by Hitachi Power Europe.

Lignite-fired
Turow power plant (owned by PGE) with the capacity of 430-540 MW is going to be
built by the consortium led by Hitachi Power Europe. It is estimated that the
investment will be closed at 3.997 billion zlotys( 959 million euro ) what was
the winning offer over Doosan who offered the same services for 4.012 billion
zlotys. It has been second tender opened by PGE, who cancelled the first one
due to very high offers participating in tender.
The built
unit will have 43 % of the efficiency and should be completed within 56 months
from the issued notice to proceed. The unit that is supposed to be built by
Hitachi will partially replace decommissioning unit 8-10 (618 MW) of Turow
Power Plant in Bogatynia (Southwest Poland), of total capacity of 1 699 MW.
