Sanok plans to save energy by replacing street lights
Sanok, town
in south/east Poland (close to the
border with Slovakia and Ukraine) can save even one million zloty a year as a
result of the new initiative of changing city lights.
It is one of the first projects like that in Poland.

Closer look at Poland's wind energy
Generation energy from wind energy in
Poland has been continously growing since the early 90s. The
first windmill in Poland has been
set in 1991 where today is located wind farm Lisewo. The first industrial
wind farm in Poland (created with a goal
to set energy commercially, not for domestic use) was located in Barzowice (West Pomerania [ zachodnio – pomorskie ]) and was founded
by Wojciech Romaniszyn in April 2001.
The farm consisted of six mills,ì with a total capacity of 5 MW.

Renegotiation of Yamal Contract?
"We will renegotiate the provisions of the Yamal contract and we expect a significant reduction in the price of gas from the East" - said
Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński. The possibility of renegotiation concluded by PGNiG and
Gazprom contract (so callled Yamal Contract) will be possible starting from November 2014.
